She graduated from the University of Oregon and moved to Vancouver with her husband. She also works as a web designer and outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys reading, cinema, video games, and working out.

James

James

Veterinary Assistant

With over 13 years in the industry, James’s heart has always been in small animal medicine, where he finds genuine joy in the daily puzzles of patient care and the precision of veterinary dentistry. Most of his career was built in the Portland metro area, though he took a memorable detour to Alaska during the COVID-19 pandemic to focus on his most important role yet: raising his newborn daughter and, later, his son. Now back in the PNW and back in the clinic, he balances his love for animal health with his passion for the great outdoors. You’ll often find him recharging on the trails at Silver Falls or taking in the views from Saddle Mountain, though he’s just as likely to swap the forest greenery for the high desert sun of Joshua Tree. Whether he’s assisting in a complex dental procedure or exploring a new trailhead, James brings a steady, personal touch to everything he does.

Rylie

Rylie

Client Service Representative

I was born in Keflavik Iceland, both parents were in the military and met there and had my sister, brother and I. We traveled to Maine shortly after and then drove across the US to the PNW. I’ve have several animals throughout my childhood ranging from dogs (golden retrievers, dachshunds, German shepherds, frenchies etc..) birds, bunnies, chickens, horses. I’ve always been an animal lover, I’ve just had more of a connection and love for animals than I did anything else. I didn’t want to do soccer or softball, I always wanted to be on the back of a horse or running through the yard with my dogs. I’ve always wanted to be apart of vetmed and share the love I have with animals with my colleagues and clients. Outside of work I love reading, hiking and spending time with my family and animals.
